After looking at the Bayeux Tapestry, we will be examining the Domesday Book, compiled by William the Conqueror's men. It is an incredible historical record from 1086. After Edward the Confessor died in 1066, the Witan (council) had to decide who would be King of England. We discussed the candidates but were keenest on Harold Godwinson and Harald Hardrada. Who do you think is the most persuasive? Do you know who was made King? Enjoy the snippets of 80 1980s songs below and decide you would like to dance to. Think about the rhythm which would be good to count in 4s to; perhaps you could find out something about one of the artists for Tuesday's lesson!
